My Energy Drink Era (and What Actually Changed)
I didn’t just have one energy drink phase…. I’ve had seasons.. There was the big-can, climbed a mountain….road-trip, special occasions energy drink.
And then there was the smaller-can, tastes-good, it’s already in the house energy drink.
Both mattered.. Both taught me something. Because the story isn’t really about energy drinks…. it’s about how my relationship with energy changed.
The big can was never an everyday thing
Reign was…. and honestly still is…my favorite canned energy drink.
It’s bold. It works. It feels like a choice….. But….. it’s also a big can, which made it something I reached for occasionally, not habitually. Road trips. Long days. Moments where I knew exactly what I was doing.
It was never daily energy….. It was borrowed energy.
Then came the smaller cans (and presence changed frequency)
For a couple of years, Alani Nu energy drinks entered the picture….not because I sought them out, but because one of my kids did. They came home from Costco.
They lived in the fridge….They tasted good…..And they were smaller.
That changed frequency.
Not because I suddenly wanted more energy drinks….but because they were there. Smaller cans feel lighter. Less consequential. Less like a “decision.”
That’s how habits form….. not through intention….but availability.
What changed wasn’t the drink….it was my nervous system
Over time, something subtle happened. The boost felt shorter. The edge felt sharper. The energy came faster….and left faster.
Nothing dramatic. Nothing “bad.” Just information.
Midlife has a way of changing the rules quietly. What once felt fine starts to feel… louder. More brittle. Less forgiving……And that’s when Energy Fizz entered the picture….not as a replacement, but as a reframe.
What energy actually is (and why this matters)
Here’s the part most conversations skip. Energy in the body isn’t just stimulation. Real energy is produced inside your cells. At the center of that process is something called ATP.
What is ATP?
ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is the energy currency of your cells. Every movement, thought, muscle contraction, and metabolic process runs on ATP.
If caffeine is like stepping on the gas pedal,
ATP is the fuel in the engine.
You can stimulate all you want…but if ATP production is inefficient, energy feels fragile.
Why Fizz feels different (the actual ingredients that matter)
This is where Arbonne Energy Fizz quietly stands apart. It’s not just caffeine in disguise. It’s a support system for energy production and regulation. Here’s what’s actually doing the work:
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)
Fizz contains 50 mg of CoQ10 per stick….a meaningful dose.
CoQ10 lives inside the mitochondria (your cells’ power plants) and plays a direct role in ATP production. In simple terms:
CoQ10 helps your cells make energy, not just respond to stimulation
Levels naturally decline with age, stress, and hormonal shifts
Supporting CoQ10 can make energy feel more sustainable instead of spiky
This alone moves Fizz out of “just an energy drink” territory.
Taurine
Taurine is often misunderstood because it shows up in energy drinks… but it’s actually regulatory, not stimulatory.
Taurine:
Supports nervous system balance
Helps smooth the effects of caffeine
Supports electrolyte balance and cellular signaling
Translation:
It helps energy feel cleaner and steadier, not louder.
Ginseng (Panax ginseng)
Ginseng is an adaptogen, meaning it helps the body respond to stress rather than override it. Instead of forcing energy, ginseng supports:
Stamina
Mental clarity
Stress resilience
It’s part of why Fizz feels supportive instead of pushy.
Guarana
Guarana contains natural caffeine, but it’s bound to compounds that slow absorption.
That means:
More gradual energy rise
Longer-lasting alertness
Less spike-and-crash behavior
It’s stimulation….. but paced.
B Vitamins (B2, B3, B5, B6, B12)
These aren’t just “energy vitamins.”
B vitamins act as cofactors in energy metabolism, helping convert food and stored resources into ATP.
Without them, energy pathways stall…. no matter how much caffeine you add.
Why this changed my default (not my choices)
I didn’t quit energy drinks. I don’t demonize them. I still have one sometimes…. especially on road trips or gas-station impulse days. But they’re no longer my background energy. Fizz has become my everyday option not because it’s perfect….but because it respects how my system works now.
It supports:
Energy production, not just stimulation
Nervous system steadiness
Capacity instead of urgency
The real takeaway
This isn’t about:
Good vs bad
Clean vs dirty
Should vs shouldn’t
It’s about recognizing when:
Smaller cans increase frequency
Convenience overrides intention
Stimulation replaces support
And choosing… gently….to build energy instead of borrowing it.
That’s not giving something up.
That’s discernment.
Curious? Here’s how to explore this…..without pressure
If any part of this made you think, “Yeah… my energy feels like that too,” there are a couple of simple ways to explore.
👉 Option 1: Just try the Energy Fizz
If you’re curious what steady, supported energy feels like…. not hyped, not buzzy, not borrowed …. the easiest place to start is simply trying the Fizz sticks.
Not as a miracle. Not as a replacement for rest. Just as an experiment. See how your body responds when energy is supported at the cellular level, not just stimulated.
If you decide it’s not your thing?
That’s still good data.
👉 Option 2: If this conversation lit something up (the bigger picture)
Some people read this and think, “Cool, I’ll try the drink.” Others quietly think, “Wait… I like how you’re talking about this. I like the honesty. I like the discernment.” If that’s you, there’s another layer to explore…..
Becoming an Independent Consultant with Arbonne isn’t about becoming an influencer, posting perfect routines, or pushing products you don’t believe in.
For me, it’s about:
Sharing what I actually use
Talking about why things work (or don’t)
Having conversations instead of scripts
Building income around real-life rhythms — not hustle culture
Some people come in just for the products. Some come for community. Some are quietly looking for a second income that doesn’t require becoming someone else. There’s room for all of that.
No rush. No hype. Just an open door.
Whether you:
Try a box of Fizz
Ask a few questions
Or feel curious about the business side
You don’t have to decide today.
You’re allowed to:
Observe
Experiment
Respond when it feels aligned
If you want to explore either path…. product or business….. you can reach out, or follow along as I keep sharing what I’m learning in real time. Energy, after all, isn’t just about what we drink. It’s about what we’re building capacity for. And that…… That’s a conversation worth having!
